I’ve been very fortunate to work with people of all ages and athletic backgrounds, including Olympic athletes, varsity teams and new fitness enthusiasts helping them achieve their fitness goals. My career as a Physician and Specialist in Sports Medicine allowed me to work over 10 years as an On-Field Team Physician for the “Pumas” Major League Soccer Team in Mexico City where I learned the importance of injury prevention through proper training and technique. My focus is to motivate, inspire and encourage you to reach and surpass your health and fitness goals!

I'm Coach Stevi, CPT, CSPFNS, and I have been in the fitness industry for 10+ years. I started my own personal fitness journey in 2006 after struggling with my own health for my entire life. Determined to take control of my life, I did (and continue to do) the self work necessary for change. Self work and taking control of our health and fitness is a harrowing, confusing and often lonely task. This is why I made it my life's work to help others in their own journey. Where I'm from, fitness culture is super important. Growing up, I was told that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. After school, I would go to the ballet, swimming classes, or cross-country skiing with my grandma. I joined my first gym when I was 15, and it became a constant in my life. I was very impressed by how weightlifting and proper nutrition could transform my body. At 18, I was introduced to yoga and once again, I was amazed, this time by how yoga and meditation could transform my mind. I truly believe that our bodies are temples for our souls. Taking care of ourselves, physically and mentally, helps us live longer, healthier, and more joyful lives. Today, my tools for living a healthy and positive life are consistent workouts and yoga, a nourishing diet, meditation, energy healing, meditative art, and supporting others as they work toward their own wellbeing and health goals. It’s all about finding balance and staying connected with ourselves and each other.

Studying Kinesiology at UBC has provided me with numerous opportunities to expand my understanding of human movement, exercise science, and injury prevention. I have an extensive athletic background, which began with organized sports at a young age and continues today through volleyball and weightlifting. Coming from an engineering background, I naturally like understanding how things work, whether that’s movement, habits, or people.
