My coaching style is collaborative, focused, and empathetic. My training specialties are Patience, understanding, and actively listening to what each individual client needs. My favorite way to stay active and healthy is walking, shooting hoops, and training at the gym every day. The best part of my job is helping people reach their goals and become the best possible version of themselves. I’m a huge football fan and take a lot of my fitness inspiration from NFL trainers. I like to make art and music in my free time, and I was even hired to compose the soundtracks for a few short films over the years.

My coaching style is "Eat big, lift big." My main training focus is functionality, focusing on movements that are applicable to things we do in our day to day lives. I am always finding new ways to challenge myself. I've done a variety of competitions including powerlifting, strongmen, and a triathlon. Next year I will be competing in my first bodybuilding show (2026). The best part of my job is signing someone up and watching them grow over the months into the best version of themselves. I love seeing the day to day changes that are instilled in my members and the positive impact fitness has on their lives. I have been a NASM certified PT for 6 years now and recently graduated from The University of Iowa with a Human Phys degree.

Hello! My name is Nate Kern and I am the Club Manager here at Anytime Fitness in Wahpeton. I am originally from this area and moved away when I was young, I am returning to spend some time with some of the older members of my family.
Growing up, I tried every sport my parents would allow. From soccer to hockey, football, baseball, and many others. I always enjoyed the competitive nature that was in each sport. During college, I became fascinated with weight training. I was able to transition my competitiveness into my workouts and keep that same energy from when I played all those sports.
My goal as a Club Manager is to provide all our members here with a great experience. To build a community where we all push each other to be the best version of ourselves. My favorite part about my job is when I can see the confidence that working out can create for someone. There is no better feeling than the satisfaction you get from putting in hard work!

If I were to describe my coaching style using only 3 words, they would be Mind Body Connection. I specialize in Athletic Performance, Senior Fitness, Youth Fitness, Functional Training, Group Fitness, Lifestyle Weight Management. My favorite ways to stay active and healthy are Pilates, Running, Group Fitness, Hiking, Snowshoeing, and Paddle boarding. The best part of my job is understanding the "Why" that brings clients into Anytime Fitness. Something to know about me is that I have a 5 year old little boy Wirtz who is half my size; I have my Masters in Social work and Bachelors in Exercise Science. I serve as the Site Director for Bio Girls In Wahpeton Breckenridge, and coach Figure Skating. Did you know... A 50 minute workout is only 4% of your day?!? Regular physical activity is a powerful tool for improving and maintaining mental well-being. Exercise can boost mood, increase self-esteem, and improve sleep quality. It can also serve as a natural stress reliever.

My coaching style is motivating and encouraging, connecting on an individual level. I specialize in helping people that struggle with motivation reach their fitness goals. Over the years I’ve struggled with motivation myself, it’s something that I still work on today. I can definitely relate to the challenges and nothing feels better than seeing my clients overcome it. My favorite way to stay active and healthy is to not to miss any day at the gym. Things happen, if I do miss. I try really hard not to miss 2 days in a row. I also enjoy sports and spending time with my dog too! My favorite part about my job is seeing people accomplish things that they didn't think they could do. I love seeing customers proving their limitations wrong! I am originally from Venezuela. Spanish was my first language. In my younger years, I played soccer, football, baseball and even ran a half marathon in Chicago.

Hello, my name is Steve Kurschner and I’m from Livingston, Montana. I’m the regional manager for gyms in North Dakota, Montana, Idaho and Washington clubs. I studied Exercise Science at Montana State University in Bozeman and health and fitness has been a huge part of my life since I was young. It’s super important to me for not only physical but mental health. I love working here because I get to help everyone on their fitness journey and make a difference in their lives.
