I started my fitness journey in 2020 with the goal of losing weight. At first, I felt intimidated by weightlifting and the gym in general, so I stuck to ab workouts and cardio. However, I was left feeling unfulfilled with my time spent in the gym and quickly became unmotivated. In 2022, my brother introduced me to powerlifting, and that’s when everything changed. I built confidence in being in the gym and shifted my mindset toward getting as strong as possible. Now, I want to help others feel more confident and comfortable in the gym so they can begin their own fitness journey with the same sense of empowerment.

In my free time I enjoy camping with my fiancé, tending to our beautiful gardens (I love growing my own food), going on walks with my pit bulls, and taking part in Reiki. I am a mom of 3 and grandma of 1. I was a stay at home mom for years. After my house fire about 3 years ago I was struggling with anxiety, depression, and high blood pressure. My doctor suggested cardio. I struggled at first because I didn't want to leave my house and it was hard to do it at home. I started going to the gym a couple times a week which turned into 4-6 days a week. The wonderful staff and great people I met made my journey so much easier. Now I'm off my anxiety and blood pressure medicine and I feel great. I hope I can help others feel as welcome and as comfortable as I feel.

Since I was a little girl, I always enjoyed watching people! I would get so excited when my family went to the airport because it gave me a chance to see so many different people. I believe that is why I decided to get my degree in Psychology. I was searching for the "why" behind other's and my own actions. I am a great listener and enjoy hearing a person's individual story. Happiness is about finding the connection and balance between our mental and physical states. When I was younger, I was very active and did not have to worry about my weight. As I have grown older, I found it was very easy to put on weight. It is a struggle everyday to go to the gym, but I know I will feel better afterwards. As I continue on my path to become healthier, I also want to help others to embark on their individual journey to a healthier self!

I have been with Anytime Fitness since 2015. Since then, I have hosted and attended events, ran multiple clubs, listened to many members' stories, have been a spotter more than once, and show my face on social media pretty regularly. I've loved every second of interacting with members from all locations and helping them in whatever they need at the moment. I full heartedly believe that working on yourself physically and mentally is a real game changer when it comes to your overall quality of life. I am very passionate about health and wellness as a whole. I have dealt with trials and tribulations in my life (as we all do) and found through my own experience just how vital fitness was for me not only on a physical level, but on an emotional and mental level as well. My goal is to provide hope and to help others overcome their struggles in order to become the best possible version of themselves. Two key concepts that I live by today are: striving for progress rather than perfection and learning to become comfortable in the uncomfortable. Change happens in the uncomfortably and when we make a change, we grow! I am a big advocate for personal growth and I think it is a beautiful thing to watch others grow!
