Joy’s passion for health and fitness developed long before joining the team in July 2025. It stems back to her teen years when she lost 85lbs.
After personally experiencing the quality of life change it had on her, Joy knew she wanted to help others experience the best quality of life. She quickly fell in love with the fitness community and began her work in the fitness field.
Joy says, “My passion is helping others fall in love with health and fitness!”, and she firmly believes when you love something, you want to do it even more! “Every day is an opportunity to improve ourselves for our future selves.”
Kevin

Though born and raised in Hyattsville, Maryland, Kevin now calls the Charlotte area of NC home. His interest in coaching began in 2017, training alongside his strength & conditioning coach in college. Kevin says, “I developed a strong passion for simply working out and the positive effects it had on my mental as well as physical health.” From then on, Kevin decided to immerse himself into the world of fitness. “Obtaining as much knowledge as possible to be able to help influence, educate and motivate other individuals to live a happier, healthier life”, Kevin says is what continues to fuel his passion for health, fitness and coaching!

Originally growing up in California, Terrion (TJ) moved to Charlotte with his family in March and joined our team in June of 2023. Growing up, TJ was a 4 sport athlete in high school where he played baseball, football, basketball and ran track. An active lifestyle is something that TJ has had for most of his life! Currently, he is a professional MMA fighter. Since 2012, he has competed in the UFC bantamweight and featherweight division. “My passion, is helping people, no matter their age or fitness level.”, says TJ. He believes that, at any stage, anyone “can achieve a healthy, active and pain free lifestyle!”.
Jabril

Jabril joined our team in February 2020 as part of our maintenance and cleaning staff. He comes to us through the InReach program, that assists individuals with special needs in obtaining meaningful and fulfilling long term employment. Jabril was born with cerebral palsy, but it hasn't slowed his enjoyment of life or sports one bit! He was the manager of the Audry Kell high school baseball team where they won a championship in 2009, and he graduated from CPCC in 2020. Jabril says, "I like working at the gym because it helps people who are like me....it doesn't matter who says you can't do it, I say yes you CAN do it!". Jabril believes that working at the gym helps him, and others, become stronger and says, "Come on down to the club and workout because I work hard to keep it nice and clean so that you keep coming back!"

A native to Charlotte, Grace studied at Queens University and then became a stay at home mom where her passion for healthy living began to grow. Becoming an active runner, she saw changes not only in her physical health but mental health, as well. Through her personal experience of movement and wellness, she hopes to empower people to take charge of their health. “We have this one body, so it’s important to take care of it.” When she isn’t exercising, she enjoys gardening, strumming her guitar, and playing board games with her children.

Jordyn is a graduate from Ferrum College and a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She has been a part of the fitness community her whole life and has now made a career out of it. She wants to inspire others to see the value of a healthy lifestyle. Her goal is to change as many lives for the better. Her number one rule is to giver her "100% of whatever you have that day."
Erika

Joining our team in the fall of 2021, Erika has always loved team sports and athletics. She played soccer throughout her childhood and added field hockey in high school. Erika graduated from Old Dominion University with a BS in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology, and it was there that she began her career in health and wellness through fitness. Erika says, “I’ve had the pleasure of working as a P.E. coach for home schoolers, a personal trainer, a group fitness instructor, and for Navy Fitness as a fitness specialist and a fitness coordinator.” As a matter of fact, at her job in Navy Fitness, is where she met her husband! From Norfolk, VA they moved to Camp Lejuene in Jacksonville, NC and then to Matthews, NC. “We love it here! We spend most of our time working out, visiting friends and family and backpacking through the mountains!”

Formally a chemical process engineer of 14 years, Louis made the leap from corporate America to business ownership in early 2013. "I felt something missing in my life working in corporate America. I wanted to leave my mark in the world in a way that was more meaningful to me and that career simply wasn’t giving me the fulfillment I was looking for, which led me to owning my first fitness club!". Louis has his BS in chemical engineering but sports, playing his saxophone & studying music have always been a huge part of his life. Now, 10+ years after becoming an entrepreneur, he has expanded his dreams & desires of bringing a premier fitness experience to local communities through multi-club ownership. "Owning multiple clubs now, allows me to serve more communities, shining an important light on the critical role a healthy, active lifestyle plays in long-term quality of life. I’m excited to help so many more members achieve their goals and realize their potential through fitness!"
