Working out is a hobby for me. At first it felt like a chore, but eventually it became something I fell in love with! I chose Anytime Fitness as my gym and enjoyed the welcoming environment from staff as well as members. When I got the opportunity to work here, it was an easy YES! My goal as a manager is to make everyone feel as comfortable as I did in the gym and cultivate an energetic community at Anytime Fitness.

I am originally from Albuquerque, but have lived in Belgium, Utah, and now Alamogordo. I have two kids, a husband who serves in the military, and one old dog. I previously have coached at Orangetheory for the last 3 years, and since moving I am taking on my own personal clients. I have been coaching and training for about 7 years total, and work with every fitness level on any, specific goal. I have always been active and in sports, and I played soccer and ran track all throughout my life, and now as an adult I'm finding my love for fitness and nutrition from working on myself, and helping others do the same. I have experience in working with hundreds of clients, of all ages and fitness levels, with a wide range of goals, and customizing plans for my clients is one of my favorite parts of training.

Melissa Dykstra

I believe that the training we do inside of the gym should serve to make our lives more enjoyable and fulfilling outside of it. I have been a NASM certified personal trainer since 2017, and was an Orangetheory coach for the last 5 years before moving to Alamogordo. I love how one-on-one training really allows me to get to know my clients and their goals more personally to provide the right program. I also really enjoy the energy and team building that comes with small group training that allows me to be more creative. I am especially passionate about women’s strength training, so much so, that in 2021 I became certified as a Pre/Post Natal Performance Fitness Specialist. Getting to be a part of people’s journeys of finding empowerment has by far been my favorite part of being a trainer. My goal is for all of my clients to learn how capable and amazing their bodies truly are.
