Just stop by the office and charge your pre workout, protein bar, water, T-shirt or any of the supplements we offer at the gym to your account. No need to bring money to the gym, we will just bill your account at the end of the month. ( During staff hours only )

Saturday: 10am – 2pm

If you are part of the medicare silver sneakers program (65 and older) we are the authorized club to help you meet your goals. Just bring in your Silver Sneakers benefit card to the club and we will fill out all the paperwork and get your KeyFob for 24/7 club access. You also have access to all our club classes. We are senior friendly.

Health Ways: we are also the authorized provider for your insurance covered club membership. Just bring in your healthways benefit card and we will set everything up in our system and get you authorized. You will have 24/7 access to our club and all facilities including all of our classes.

Class Schedule

Class Descriptions:

HIIT: 45 minutes of High Intessity Interval Training. We will be alternating periods of intense cardio with active recovery of strength training. Studies shwo that short bursts of hard work is optimum for activating metabolism and extreme fat burning! Get a full body workout in a shorter time!

Zumba: A fun and easy-to-do dance class using a fusion of latin and international music to get participants groovin. Does not require any dance experience.

Cycling: An intense cardio workout using the LeMond bikes. Great for building endurance and cardio capacity, as well as lower body and core strength.

Yoga: Come away feeling both relaxed and energized.

 

Reverie Relaxation: This class focuses on appreciating your mind and your body in order to start your week off right. We will be doing light stretching and breathing as a more laid back meditation and body awareness. Benefits: clearer thinking, reduces stress, lowers blood pressure and anxiety; also an excuse to not have to think about reality for a little while ;) come join us in reverie relaxation with our trainer Kayla, Tuesday mornings at 8:00am; class lasts less than 30 minutes.

 Reverie: a state in which you are thinking pleasant things; the condition of being lost in thought ; Relaxation: time spent resting and enjoying yourself ;

 

Boot Camp with Kayla: Group training on Saturday morning. Free to all our club members and only $5.00 for non members. So bring a friend and come get it kicked into gear with our world famous trainer. Kayla will get you motivated to work harder than ever and take your workout to another level.

Bollywood Lunch Express: 

Bollywood-inspired dance fitness is an invigorating and joyful form of movement that will get you shouting "Dhol wajda!!" or "Keep the beat going!!" We'll take a trip to India on our lunch break by dancing our heart rates up, cooling down with expressive songs and ending on a relaxing note that will carry you back to work in high spirits. 

So what the heck is Bollywood?!


Bollywood, a informal name combining America's Hollywood and India's film capital Bombay (now Mumbai), designates a sub-genre of Hindi-language films with blockbuster power and international appeal. Bollywood films are fantastic in nature--extravagant costumes, dramatic plots, and most importantly, lots of musical numbers and dancing. Bollywood music and dance is unique in that it draws on both classical and folk styles, as well as modern Indian and international rhythms. If you're really curious, there are plenty of Bollywood films accessible by YouTube...watch one and you'll start to understand whyBollywood is loved across the globe.

Corinne Meade

Retired after serving 20 years in the Navy. I then completed 30 years tenure with the City of Asheville and retired in 2010. I became an AF member in 2008 and I fell in Love with indoor Cycling ( Spin ). Indoor cycling is ideal for all fitness levels, whether it's your first day or 100th day.

I love to meet new people and I have a strong passion to share FUN and FITNESS with all the members of the woderfull GYM.

Our resident power lifter and all around weight lifting and body building guru. Certified Personnal trainer thru AB Tech National Certification Course.

 

Kayla Grey

Kayla Grey is a Personal Consultant and Trainer through the National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT).  She has a strong passion for health and fitness and is always hungry for more knowledge. After being in the gym environment and going through her own personal lifestyle changes, she began to feel more alive, radiant, and truly healthy. This brought her to the decision to obtain her certification in order to help others feel the same. She is here to fulfill as your fitness coach, motivator, and supporter to help you achieve your goal(s)!
 

Andrew Lovice

Andrew Lovice is a certified personal trainer. He graduated Clemson University with a B.A. in Psychology and Therapeutic Recreation, he is a Crossfit Level 1 Certified Trainer, and a NSCA and IFTA Certified Personal Tainer.
 
"I recently married and live in Asheville.  I enjoy outdoor activities such as mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, etc.  My personal training style is heavily geared toward improving mobility and flexibility, and the use of functional exercises to meet specific goals."
 
 

Bill Graves

Bill Graves is our Sales Manager and a gym rat:

"I have been training for 40 years. I'm best at body sculpting and nutrition and supplements. At 63 years young, I can give advice to those who are older and want to be in the best shape of their lives. It does not matter how old you are you can have the strength and endurance of a 20 year old. And have the physic to go along with it. At 180lbs and 11% body fat I'm a perfect example of what can be done when you mix weight training and nutrition to achieve your goals." 

 

Adena Schwartz

 

Zumba Instructor-Adena hails fro Philadelphia and moved to Asheville a year ago after sojourns through South America, India, Nepal, Europe, the Middle East, and across the United States. Travel is in her blood, along with a passion for the beautiful rhythms and dances of the world. While she values the technical aspects of dance, Adena is not a formally trained dancer. Rather, she dances with her heart and focuses on the inherent joy of movement and music. Her classes are an open invitation to shake it in whatever way feels fantastic.

 

Pamela Daly

Yoga instructor - I discovered yoga as a phys ed class when I first wen toff to college in 1995. Hard to believe that's 20 years ago now! Yoga allows me to move my body and still my mind, to live in the present moment with an open heart filled with gratitude every day. I became a yoga instructor to simply offer that opportunity to other, to share in this deeply therapeutic practice, aligning body and mind, that brings me great peace and contentment.

 

 

Class: My class is designed to wring out the tensions of the day, to strengthen and lengthen through our bodies and to quiet the mind and bring focus to our breath. This class is for every body and every level of fitness and promotes a sense  of deep relaxation, balance and renewed energy. I invite you to join me on the mat!
