I like to workout in the morning and I really enjoy using the free weights. I have been working out at Anytime Fitness for 7 years and I really love it here. I excel in muscle and strength building and I look forward to getting the opportunity to work with people to get them looking the way that they want to look. My schedule is pretty flexible and I would love to work with new people.
I have been a personal trainer for 4 years. I graduated from Whitworth University, where I played softball, and then attended Eastern Washington University. I enjoy working with people to help them make changes to help them live a healthier lifestyle. Living a healthy lifestyle is very important to me. So important, that I want to share my knowledge with others so they too can live a healthy life on their own.
My continued study of training, athletics, and applications has allowed me to travel all over the world in pursuit if further knowledge & skills. These amazing experiences in learning new cultures and making new friends continues to show me how important the values of of hard work, dedication, and self-discipline are in everyday life. This is what inspires and drives me in my own study and training. As we continue on our path in life, we should always be humbled and delighted at the opportunity to learn something new which will hopefully inspire us to crave something more. My approach to personal training is to educate and equip you with not only the knowledge to improve your on abilities, but also enhance your understanding of movement, nutrition, and wellness. I seek to empower you with true ownership of your training goals and success. I specialize in Fitness Education, Athletic Periodization, Strength & Conditioning, Sport-specific training, and Self-Defense conditioning.
I believe that fitness is about fueling and training. In my personal experience, I have seen the benefits and consequences of various lifestyles and that has given me a passion for fitness and health that I am eager to share. I am NASM certified, however I believe my personal experience and research has given me wisdom, knowledge and understanding beyond my credentials. My passion currently lies with weight training and teaching individuals the truth about lifting weights in regards to health and body composition. I strive to help people reach their goals, because I know how it feels when I achieved mine! I want to supply my clients with the confidence to apply the tools and knowledge I give them so that they can live a healthy, balanced, fit life on their own.
I worked as a personal trainer out of a gym in Pullman, WA while attending Washington State University to obtain a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. During this time, I had the opportunity to work with clients ranging from first time gym-goers to WSU athletes. I also have experience training clients of specialized populations such as those with chronic conditions, auditory/visually impaired individuals, elderly individuals, etc. I take pride in developing a program that is customized to fit each client's individual needs rather than applying a one size fits all approach.
