The passion and drive that I have for the fitness world is scarcely matched by anyone. When I began my journey to a healthier me, I was in a dark place. Most wouldn’t know because I hid myself from the world. I started at this gym along with a healthier regime and was introduced to a whole new world of support and guidance. Once I had that, the world was at my feet. I developed a better diet, workout habits, and friendships with the most supportive and amazing people. But, it wasn’t until I found my purpose in life that I really fell in love with fitness. I do not do what I do for a paycheck. I do not do what I do just for my own benefit. I do this because I want people to feel how I feel every day. I want to help everyone I can reach their goals in their own lives. I want my successes and knowledge to impact others and affect them in a way that they change their life for the better. I love that Anytime Fitness is that place for me.
I have been working out almost every day since I had my second child 22 years ago. I believe that exercise contributes to a happy and healthy life. I believe that it has to be part of your daily routine and I live that belief. Sometimes my workout consists of just walking the dog, but I always get some movement into my day. I also believe that exercise over the long term has to be something you enjoy, so I try to find the joy even if I’m just happy that I’m done for the day. I love working out and I just want to inspire others to love it, too! I'm excited to work with you to help you build a happier and healthier lifestyle!
Sadness, frustration, and anger took over my life towards the end of 2013. At my lowest point, I stepped on the scale only to realize I was at my heaviest weight. I no longer fit in more than half my clothes and motivation seemed almost impossible to find. I told myself from that day forward that I will no longer settle in this hole I had dug for myself. Working out became an everyday routine, bettering myself became a life goal, and healthy eating became a habit while positivity and motivation came naturally with the progress. Fast forward to a year later, and I am 50 lbs lighter and 100% happier. I've been there and completely understand your struggle, but as a team with a positive mindset, you will even surprise yourself with how much you can achieve.
As a specialist I know the programming to building a solid foundation, which begins with corrective exercises, to help fix or prevent injuries, these will bring about optimal muscle tension relationships, which will keep you performing at your best. From here the sky is the limit, each goal and person is unique, and media catered to the masses is not your best tool in fitness! I will bring the proper form, progressions, intensity and exercise selections to help you surpass any goal.
