Together with Charlie, April is proud to be a co-owner of Anytime Fitness Katy. While she still works full-time as an attorney, her heart lies with making a difference in people’s lives – whether that’s by working for her legal clients or supporting Charlie in his mission to make sure that every member has an amazing experience at the gym during her “off” time.
Officially becoming the new owner of Anytime Fitness Katy on July 24, 2015, Charlie is now living his lifelong dream of being a business owner in an industry he truly loves. Every day is an opportunity to make someone laugh and to begin changing a life for the better. Charlie's commitment to fitness started with that same desire to help others by joining the United States Marine Corps. Getting his feet wet with "the basics" during basic training, Charlie's love affair with fitness found solid footing, and ever since then, he has worked to improve his body and overall health. After 15 years in the oil and gas industry, Charlie now spends his days helping others discover the benefits of fitness and making sure that his members smile.
Andrew recently moved back after living in Washington D.C. for 5 years where he got his ACSM personal training certification, a B.S. in Health & Exercise Science from Marymount University, and worked as a trainer and health coach. Andrew’s interest in nutrition and exercise began in 7th grade football where he learned that the gym not only made him physically healthy, but it developed a strong work ethic; goals were set and achieved, set backs were encountered along with self-doubt. The lessons taught in the gym became applicable to everyday life. Andrew’s training regimen and philosophy is based on working in a smart systematic manner, not by training “tough” and “hard.” His clients strive to be the best they can be and are not encouraged to compare their own success with others. His clients can expect to gain self-confidence along with a true understanding of how to live a healthier lifestyle. Andrew specializes in strength training, weight loss, injury prevention, and mobility.
Austin joined Anytime Fitness at a young age and was turned on to weightlifting as a high school football player and distance runner. Austin enjoyed pushing himself and expanding his horizons. He started out as a scrawny kid at 6’1” and 125 lbs, and after 6 years of hard work and determination he managed to add 60 lbs of lean mass. Now, as a trainer, he specializes in athletic, aesthetic and strength training, with a focus on core explosiveness and stability movements. His overall health and physique speak volumes of his knowledge and skills as an effective trainer.
W. F. (Bill) Brothers is a personal trainer, certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University. Following over 30 years in the energy and petro-chemical industry, he entered the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Jefferson Community College, where he received an AAS degree with high distinction. He has worked as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, in hospitals, sub-acute rehab, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics since 2006 under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, as required by state laws. Bill is a life-long fitness enthusiast who has remained active, despite numerous challenges, using strength training, jogging, Masters swimming, sailing, hiking, and cycling. He cycled a combined total of over 6,000 miles in 2013-2014. Bill offers a sensible alternative to mature adults interested in improving the quality of their lives through use of a supervised fitness program.
I am an NASM-certified Personal/Group personal trainer. My whole life changed when I moved to CA and became serious about fitness. I volunteered for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to do an Olympic Triathlon, as I strived to reach different goals. During my 6 months of training, I realized how important “personal trainers” were and how proper form made a huge difference. I started studying NASM courses. At 47 it was much tougher than I thought, but I passed. I also finished my triathlon, along with sprints, fun runs, Warrior Dashes, while helping others reach their goals and raise money for a special cause. I've been blessed to live where “healthy” is a lifestyle. I'm 50 years young in the prime of my life and enjoy training others in my age bracket, kinda! (30+) It is now in life that it's necessary to strive for fitness so you don't lose it! I love working with people who know they can stay healthy and fit for many years to come! "If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you."
Hi! I'm Dan. I’m a Certified Personal Trainer with First Aid/CPR/AED, ACSM, NASM, and ASFA Certificates. I also have my BS in Kinesiology / Biology. I've spent 15+ years in the fitness industry doing personal, group, Figure Competitor, and competitive athlete training, as well as boot camps, and aiding in post-physical therapy injury and post-surgery rehabilitation. I enjoy helping clients reach their health and fitness goals, and providing knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. Overall health is an investment of a lifetime. I enjoy reading, sports, working out, and spending time with my family. I look forward helping you reach your goals!
